Dear Editor,
I am writing this letter to express my deep concern and utter dismay over the recent incident where a brave soldier lost his life at the hands of the New People’s Army in Barangay San Fernando, Laur, Nueva Ecija, on 8 October.
The death of Private First-Class Nelson B. Casayuran is a stark reminder of the risks and sacrifices that our soldiers face every day in their commitment to protect and serve our nation.
As citizens, we must honor and appreciate their dedication and bravery. Private First-Class Casayuran made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty, and his sacrifice should not be in vain.
The NPA’s actions not only threaten the lives of our soldiers but also undermine the stability and progress of our society. Their acts of terror and violence perpetuate fear among innocent civilians and hinder the development of the affected areas. It is crucial that we stand together and firmly reject such acts of aggression and terrorism.
I call upon our government and law enforcement agencies to intensify their efforts in combating the NPA and other insurgent groups. Providing our soldiers with the necessary resources, training, and support is essential to effectively counter these threats. Additionally, I urge the authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident and bring the perpetrators to justice.
I also implore fellow citizens to express solidarity and support for our military forces. Let us recognize and appreciate the sacrifices they make to ensure our safety and protect our freedoms. We must actively participate in initiatives that promote peace, unity, and the rule of law within our communities.
Let us honor our fallen soldiers’ memory by fighting against violence and supporting those who work tirelessly to protect our freedoms.
It is time that we, as a society, unite against such acts of violence and support the efforts of our Armed Forces to maintain peace and order. The sacrifice of our soldiers should not be in vain. Together, let us work towards a society that values peace, security, and the well-being of all its citizens.
We can only create the conditions for our nation’s better and more secure future by working together to end the insurgency.
