San Mateo Police get new firearms

The San Mateo Municipal Police Station received new firearms from Rizal police provincial director P/Col. Dominic Baccay.

The newly-procured firearms include 10 pieces basic assault rifles, two pieces basic assault rifle, 84 pieces magazines and 4,320 pieces of live ammunition.

Baccay said the procurement of these new firearms is part of the 2022 capability enhancement program as part of the continuing Philippine National Police modernization program.

San Mateo Mayor Bartolome “Omi” Rivera thanked the PNP for the new equipment.

On the other hand, the Rodriguez Municipal Police Station also received newly-procured logistics equipment and mobility asset from Rizal police provincial office.

The newly-procured equipment include one piece basic assault rifle, 8 pieces basic assault rifles, 7 pieces tactical vests, 56 pieces magazines, 2,080 pieces live ammunition and a Honda XR 150 motorcycle.

Baccay said the equipment will be an additional support in police operations of Rodriguez Municipal Police Station.

Rodriguez Municipal Mayor Ronnie Evangelista, a retired military general, vowed to support the programs of the PNP.
