If there’s anything else I love other than food, that would be fashion. And when you combine music, fashion and a fun bunch of people, there’s nowhere else I’d rather be.
Designer Dona Lim, known for her timeless silhouettes and her passion to create sustainable clothing, put together an intimate party with her VIPs and friends to launch her pop-up store at SM Aura Premier (Level 2). With the help of the tunes of DJ Christina Badkiss, it was easy for everyone to get into the mood that Dona Lim had envisioned for the party. She wanted everyone to forget their worries and dance like no one was watching. This was Dona’s ultimate inspiration and motivation when she was creating her collection. She wanted every piece to give the wearer a feeling of celebration and get them to dance and move with no inhibitions. Well, looking at everyone at the party, Dona certainly achieved her vision. Everyone was vibing, chatting animatedly and playing dress-up while getting their photos taken. Without a doubt, her collection is definitely one of my favorites.
Of course, the party would not be complete without curated wines from the Label Whore (@youlabelwhore). Each bottle was labeled by an affirmation or manifesto that the guests had the liberty to choose for themselves. There were lines like, “I am fearless” and “I am always thriving.” Moreover, guests didn’t go home empty handed. On top of the loot, they were given a generous 20-percent discount on all their purchases. Dona gifted them also with affirmation mirrors to take home to remind them to value and celebrate themselves.
