Responding personnel of the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) cornered a 22-year-old male suspect in a stabbing incident in a hot pursuit operation on 6 June.
According to the investigation, the incident happened at the waiting shed of Sunshine Park where the suspect stabbed his first two victims with an alleged sharp object and ran towards Governor Pack Road where he randomly stabbed two more victims and then fled towards the vicinity of Kisad Road and stabbed another two victims.
The BCPO quickly responded to a call and dispatched a team composed of Legarda Police Station, Mobile Patrol Unit, City Mobile Force Company, and Special Weapons and Tactics personnel to the area which resulted in the immediate arrest of the suspect at Kisad Road.
The BCPO said the suspect and his victims were all brought to the nearest hospital for medical treatment and all were eventually declared stable by the attending physicians. It added that the suspect was put into the custody of BCPO-Legarda Police Station.
