Teary-eyed Anne Curtis praises It’s Showtime contestant’s empowering words

GTV’s “It’s Showtime” host Anne Curtis summed up the reaction of the viewers to the empowering words of Annika, a “Mini Ms. U” contestant in one of the segments of the show.

The contestant was given a situation where she was asked what she would say to her “friend” who was having a hard time singing in front of an audience.

How Annika responded with words of affirmation moved Curtis and the audience: “If some people don’t like you, then it’s fine. What’s important is someone still likes you. You shouldn’t be worrying about if you’ll be the best in the world, you have to be the best version of yourself.”

Curtis, who was seen teary-eyed in the background, praised the contestant and her parents.

“What a genuinely kind and pure soul. Bless her heart. Kudos to her parents for instilling such beautiful values. Imagine if we were all like this. No hatred or harmful words would exist,” Curtis said.
