Euphoria star Angus Cloud passed away on Monday at his family home in Oakland, California. He was 25.
No cause of death was given.
“As an artist, a friend, a brother and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways,” said a statement released by his family.
Cloud recently buried his father in Ireland and “had been battling severe suicidal thoughts” after he returned home, the statement said.
“The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend… We hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence. We hope the world remembers him for his humor, laughter and love for everyone,” it added.
Cloud played drug dealer Fezco “Fez” O’Neill on HBO’s teen drama Euphoria.
HBO released its own statement, saying “We are incredibly saddened to learn of the passing of Angus Cloud. He was immensely talented and a beloved part of the HBO and Euphoria family. We extend our deepest condolences to his friends and family during this difficult time.”
Cloud appeared in the films North Hollywood and The Line. He also took part in music videos for Becky G, Karol G and Juice WRLD.
