P-POP boy group 1st.One is breaking new musical ground with their latest release, “Oras.”
The group, known for catchy dance songs and intense performances, is now exploring a new side of their talent with quiet ballads.
“We’re not just singers, we’re not just dancers, we’re not just rappers, we are artists as a whole. With this song, it’s going to become the start of a new era,” said the group’s leader Ace during a recent interview with the Daily Tribune.
“Oras” marks the group’s third ballad. The track delves into the theme of time and its fleeting nature, urging listeners to cherish every moment and live life to the fullest.
Trained under First One Entertainment, 1st.One debuted as a six-member P-pop boy group — consisting of Ace, Alpha, J, Jayson, Joker and Max — in July 2020 with their debut single “You Are the One.”
When the group’s dance smash “Shout Out” made its debut on the Billboard Hot Trending Songs chart in December 2022, it cemented their place as one of P-pop’s strongest new acts.
1st.One’s talent extends beyond their music, as evidenced by their impressive achievements in various dance categories. They secured first place in the Dance category during the 28th Philippine-Korea Cultural Exchange Festival in September 2018. They also emerged as the grand winner of the Seoul Music Awards PH Dance to Your Seoul in November 2019.
In addition, the group had the privilege of serving as the opening act at the Seoul Music Awards in January 2020 alongside well-known K-POP performers including TWICE, Monsta X, Red Velvet and NCT.
