Senator Christopher “Bong” Go welcomed his placing among the leading candidates in the May 2025 senatorial elections as shown in a recent 2nd quarter survey results.
Go said he was delighted by the unwavering and overwhelming support he has gotten from the Filipino people since he began his political career.
“Thank you for your continued support for a simple provinciano given the chance to serve you. It rejuvenates me to see your support of my pet projects to help the poor,” he said in a statement on Wednesday.
Go vowed to continue providing public service to the Filipino people by pushing for laws that would benefit every sector of society.
“To the best of my abilities, I will continue to push for legislation that will support government programs that will help the poor and the hopeless, he said.
An advance copy of the survey results showed that Go placed second with 55 percent of voter preference, next to ACT-CIS Partylist Rep. Erwin Tulfo who got 73 percent of voters’ support.
Former Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III came in 3rd to 4th place with 49 percent, followed by Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa who placed 3rd to 5th with 44 percent, Senator Imee Marcos in the 4th to 6th spot overall voting preference of 43 percent, and former Senator Manny Pacquiao who landed in 5th to 10th place with 38 percent.
Sharing 6th to 10th place were Senator Pia Cayetano with 37 percent and Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. who garnered 36 percent, former Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso with 35 percent, and Senator Manuel “Lito” Lapid who took 33 percent of the voters’ preference.
They were followed by former Senator Panfilo Lacson with an overall voting preference of 26 percent in 11th to 13th place, while Senator Francis Tolentino received 23 percent landing in 11th to 15th place.
Former Vice President Noli de Castro could be a probable winner after landing 11th to 16th place with 21 percent, as well as Dr. Willie Ong and TV personality Willie Revillame, who both got 19 percent, placing 12th to 20th.
