Vision restored, a trike driver pays it forward

Felix Baguion, 51 years old, lives in Barangay San Juan, Ormoc City. Despite life’s challenges, he stands as a pillar of strength for his family. With five children to care for, he has always prioritized their needs above his own.

Baguion worked as a tricycle driver, ferrying passengers from dawn until 5 p.m. His dedication to providing for his family was unwavering, even when his vision started to betray him in the evenings. It became increasingly difficult for him to see clearly.

The kindness Felix Baguion received has amplified his own generosity and commitment to make a positive impact on others.

In October last year, Baguion underwent a life-changing operation courtesy of the Tzu Chi charity organization, which helped him secure medical care for his failing eyesight. When his vision improved, he could once again take the wheel in the evening. With this newfound ability, he ensured that his family’s needs continued to be met and their dreams nurtured.

Baguion has taken to paying it forward, donating and contributing to causes that are meaningful to him such as the Tzu Chi charity work that helped him regain his good eyesight. The kindness he received has amplified his own generosity and commitment to make a positive impact on others.
