The local government of Cainta, Rizal is keen on increasing the provision of school supplies and educational materials to schoolchildren, especially books, to further encourage students to read.
At the start of the opening for this school year, the local government immediately distributed school supplies, including books, to public kindergarten and Grade 1 learners.
Cainta Mayor Elen Nieto, however, said the local government does not give school uniforms for now, as she emphasized that the learners can still go to school even without wearing a school uniform.
“For me, the non-wearing of school uniform won’t hinder you from going to school. But it will be difficult for you to study if you don’t have school supplies and books,” Nieto said.
