A fire hit several houses along Aurora Boulevard, Tramo in Pasay City Friday evening, F/Sr. Insp. Glen Celestial of the Bureau of Fire Protection said yesterday.
Celestial reported that the fire, which started at about 8 p.m., reached the second alarm and was extinguished about 10 minutes before 10 p.m.
Firefighters said they had a hard time putting out the blaze because of the panicky residents, some of whom interfered with their operations.
“Our firefighters had a hard time reaching the area because there were people — lots of them on the road. We’re in a hurry, but we could not do anything with the road clogged with people,” Celestial said
Celestial said they are still determining the cause of the fire, as well as the total number of families affected. No one was reported killed or injured in the conflagration, he added.
