World of Wonder (WOW), producer of RuPaul’s Drag Race, has announced the renewal of the Philippine version of the phenomenal drag reality series, Drag Race Philippines, for a second season on 19 October. The American entertainment company, known for creating LGBTQ+ content, also confirmed that its companion series, Drag Race Philippines: Untucked, will also have a second season.
WOW also revealed several shows in the Drag Race franchise, which will all be premiering on its streaming platform WOW Presents Plus. Drag Race Sverige’s companion series, Drag Race Sverige: Untucked, is greenlit for production while France Televisions has opened casting for the second season of Drag Race France and Spain’s Atresmedia is commissioning Drag Race Espana: All Stars.
Additional details about Drag Race Philippines such as casting are yet to be announced. Season 1 premiered on 17 August with 10 episodes and Precious Paula Nicole was declared winner. All episodes of the first season of Drag Race Philippines and Drag Race Philippines: Untucked can be viewed on WOW Presents Plus, HBO Go, and Discovery Plus.
