Work well-informed, Gesmundo tells judges

Lend your people your ears, thus advised Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo regional and metropolitan trial court judges during their meeting over the weekend in Quezon City.

By listening to their personnel, judges can better dispense justice to people, the primus inter pares of the Supreme Court said.

Gesmundo issued the reminder to judges and justices during a dialogue at the Quezon City Hall Complex in Diliman.

“We have to listen to our people in the field. We want to listen to you. Let us address the problems. Let us work together,” Gesmundo said. He then shared with the judges the SC’s Strategic Plan for Judicial Innovations for the current year to 2027.

The judges expressed their gratitude to Gesmundo for meeting with them and for lending his own ears to listen to their concerns. They vowed to support the SC’s reform measures.

With Gesmundo during the dialogue were Senior Associate Justice Marvic Leonen, and Associate Justices Henri Jean Paul Inting, Jhosep Lopez, Ricardo Rosario, Jose Midas Marquez, Antonio Kho Jr. and Maria Filomena D. Singh.
