The Department of Public Works and Highways started over the weekend road reblocking activities on major roads, including C-5, a portion of Epifanio de los Santos Avenue, and the North Luzon Expressway.
The reblocking was scheduled to end tomorrow, 30 January, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said on Saturday. Motorists were advised by the MMDA to use alternative routes.
Affected by the road repairs were part of the C-5 Service Road along Pasig Boulevard, Barangay Bagong Ilog near Rizal Medical Center, and along Julia Vargas corner Lanuza Avenue, Barangay, Ugong near Valle Verde 5, Pasig City.
Those traversing Pasig Boulevard may turn left to Lakewood Drive then straight to E. Mejia Street, then to C-5. Northbound vehicles may take the U-turn slot under the Bagong Ilog flyover, the agency said.
All of the affected roads will be fully passable by 5 a.m. on 30 January 2023, the MMDA and the DPWH assured.
