The Department of Public Works and Highways has received a special allotment release order of about P495 million to settle right-of-way or RoW payments for the North Luzon Expressway-South Luzon Expressway Connector Road Project.
Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman yesterday said the money is for the acquisition of properties affected by the eight-kilometer elevated expressway, from the end of NLEX Segment 10 in Circumferential Road 3 to Skyway Stage 3 in Pandacan, Manila.
NSCRP is a priority project of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s “Build Better More” infrastructure program and is part of the DPWH’s public-private partnership projects.
The DPWH said the project would cost a total of P23.2 billion. Presently, construction was reported at 60 percent completion while right-of-way purchases have reached 93.5 percent.
