NBI rescues 21 trafficked women

Operatives from the National Bureau of Investigation has rescued at least 21 women during an anti-human trafficking operation on a videoke bar in Sta. Rosa, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya and arrested two individuals believed to be involved in offering the women for sexual services.

Agents from NBI-Bayombong District Office identified the suspects as Evangeline Torres Escalante and Analyn Estabillo Torres.

The operation stemmed from reports that the videoke bar allegedly employ women as Officer and peddling them for a fee ranging from P1,500 to P3,000 and following the reports, the NBI-BAYDO immediately conducted surveillance operation and confirmed the information that the bar is offering their GROs for sexual services.
