A construction worker was shot dead in Davao City Friday night, according to the Barangay Buhangin Police.
Two gunmen approached the victim, Jay Monsanto, alias Superman and fired three shots killing him on the spot in San Jose Carmelite Road.

Investigators from the Buhangin Police recovered three bullet slugs from a caliber .45 gun.

A background check on the victim found that Monsanto was jailed in December 2016 for frustrated homicide.

Investigation is ongoing to identify the killers and determine the motive of the killing.
