Rains washed away blood on the pavement yesterday as a suspected robber fell dead in a gunplay with Muntinlupa City policemen.

One Manuel Canaria, a resident of Barangay Cupang in Muntinlupa City, was fatally shot by cops after reportedly robbing at gunpoint Grace de Vera of Amadeo, Cavite.

De Vera recounted she was waiting for a jeepney ride along the national road past midnight when Canaria came out of nowhere and forcibly took her bag.

With the victim shouting for help and responding policemen giving chase, Canaria fled towards the Philippine National Railway side in Barangay Putatan.

Cornered by the cops, Canaria allegedly chose to shoot it out and paid with his life for that decision. NSB
