Bacoor seeks longer streak

Action heats up as Bacoor hosts Laguna while Davao Occidental and Cebu clash in an exciting double-header in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League today at the Strike Gymnasium in Bacoor City.

The Strikers are looking to stretch their winning run when they collide with the Heroes in the 9 pm main game following the battle between the Tigers and the Sharks at 7 pm.

Former University of the Philippines star Mikee Reyes erupted for a rare triple-double to spearhead the Strikers in their 86-68 win over Caloocan last Aug. 2.

Reyes finished with 21 points, 15 assists and 10 rebounds while keeping a hold of the Strikers’ domination of the Supremos all game long to posting their third win in five games.
But it wasn’t Reyes alone who had a breakout performance.

Former Philippine Basketball Association star Marlou Aquino also flashed a vintage performance as he fired 16 points, four assists and three blocks.

Also tipped to come up with a strong performance is Cebu, which gained momentum after clobbering inaugural conference champion Batangas City for its first win in five outings.

The Sharks are out to duplicate that feat against a struggling Tigers squad that lost three straight matches.
