Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) City Director Senior Supt. Royina Garma yesterday challenged Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmena to name the informants who claimed police and civilian hitmen are out to kill the city mayor.

“I’m challenging Mayor Osmena to name his sources of the information about the five policemen and four civilians reportedly deployed to Cebu as hitmen allegedly to kill the mayor,” Garma told newsmen.

Earlier, Osmena claimed he has a list of police hitmen, whom he called “killer boys” from Negros Oriental, who have recently been assigned or have moved to Cebu.

Osmena was tagged by former Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II for allegedly protecting drug lords. Recently, Osmena said President Duterte cannot rely on the police alone to solve the country’s drug problem.

He said the list includes several policemen, civilian and a former army officer who are allegedly involved in extrajudicial killings, but he did not divulge their names.
