Gasoline prices will be increased while that of kerosene will be reduced today, according to separate advisories issued by oil players yesterday.
Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. and Flying V said they will increase gas prices by 30 centavos per liter while decreasing kerosene by 20 centavos per liter.
Other petroleum-trading firms are expected to also increase gasoline. Prices of diesel are seen to remain as they are for the week.
Among those raising gas prices without reducing kerosene prices are Petro Gazz, Phoenix Petroleum Philippines Inc. and PTT Philippines Corp.
Last week, diesel prices increased by 25 centavos per liter and gasoline had a hike of 15 centavos a liter, making this a second consecutive week of price increases.
Latest data from the Department of Energy showed gasoline prices ranged from P48.65 to P62.60, diesel from P41.50 to P50.75 and kerosene from P47.12 to P56.65. KVD
