“Prepare yourself for a wind-blowing Sitang extravaganza,” warned Wilbert Tolentino, Mr. Gay World Philippines 2009 finalist and former national director of the pageant.

The much awaited and talked-about Sitang Manila Tour 2018 was made possible by Tolentino, an LGBTQ+ influencer. A native of Thailand, Sitang Buathong is a transgender woman who became a social media sensation when her videos reached about 16 million views. She is known for her signature dance routines. Mader Sitang, as she is popularly known by Filipinos, arrived on 19 October afternoon at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 , where screaming Filipino fans welcomed her.

“Thank you so much because today we’re here in the Philippines and thank you for inviting us. I cannot explain my feelings but I am so happy today. I love you all,” Sitang expressed through her interpreter during her arrival interview with the press.

Sitang flew to the Philippines for a series of shows and endorsements. Straight from the airport, her first stop was H&H Makeover Salon, where she arrived wearing a white ensemble creation by Domz Ramos of DR Swim for the official press conference. She performed her signature head-banging and hair-flipping moves, backed up by men from One 690 Entertainment.

Her international manager, Tolentino, revealed that Sitang will become the official endorser of the salon and that she will have a perfume brand called Simply Sitang, which will be available both locally and internationally. He also added that a movie with Vice Ganda is being planned.

When asked about her favorite celebrities, Sitang mentioned Brad Pitt and Julia Roberts. She said that she’s very glad and love the Philippines because Thai people and Filipinos are almost the same. She is also willing to learn the Filipino and English when she returns next year.

Unknown to many, Sitang made a donation for victims of the super typhoon Yolanda and promised to donate to the victims of typhoon “Ompong.”

Sitang idolizes former First Lady Imelda Marcos. She was wearing a yellow terno, designed by Domz Ramos, in her Intramuros photo shoot and blue terno during her Rated K taping with Korina Sanchez Roxas. She visited the Rizal Monument at the Rizal Park before and toured Intramuros in a kalesa.
