A suspected drug peddler was arrested by policemen in San Juan City after a search of the suspect’s residence on Friday morning.
The San Juan Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) said it raided the house of April Vanessa Nuyda through a search warrant issued by Pasig Regional Trial Court Branch 152 Executive Judge Danilo Cruz.
The DEU said it found 26 sachets of shabu worth at least P21,000 hidden in a cabinet of her house along Pablo St. in Barangay Batis. Nuyda told the police her shabu supplier was from Quiapo, Manila.
The suspect had surrendered to the police two years ago, but San Juan City Police chief Senior Supt. Dindo Reyes said Nuyda failed to undergo the community-based drug rehabilitation program.
Police said the suspect’s family has been involved in selling illegal drugs in San Juan City since 2013. The suspect’s father was arrested in a buy-bust operation in 2015 while her mother was also caught in a buy-bust operation in 2017.
Nuyda had stopped her drug peddling activities after the arrest of her parents but the police had received a tip that she had revived her illegal drug business.
In Marikina City, two people were arrested in a buy-bust operation.
Police identified the suspects as a certain “Jose,” 20, and a certain “Dada,” 18.
The police said they conducted the operation after receiving reports that “Jose” was selling drugs in Barangay Tañong.
A poseur-buyer was able to purchase a sachet of shabu from “Jose” who was then with “Dada.” The police then arrested the two.
