The Home Mutual Development Fund or Pag-IBIG signed a memorandum of agreement with McDonald’s Philippines on Tuesday for a partnership extending Pag-IBIG Fund loyalty card members 5 percent discount from at least 610 McDonald’s branches nationwide.
Pag-IBIG’s Chief Executive Officer Acmad Rizaldy Moti said it was McDonald’s first partnership with the government and the “most sought-after.”
“Among our respected corporate values, we have two in common: integrity and excellence. McDonald’s’ value of malasakit is also the same as Pag-IBIG Fund’s value of service. It was a matter of time that our people came together. Now, we are partners in providing not just happy meals and other McDonald’s favorites, but also heartful service to Pag-IBIG Fund Loyalty Card holders who enter the Golden Arches,” Moti remarked.
The promo started in 15 August this year and has already recorded 23,000 transactions amounting to P300,000 in discounts for the first two months, making it Pag-IBIG’s most successful partnership promo to date, according to Moti.
Managing Director of Golden Arches Development Corporation, or McDonald’s Philippines, Maria Margarita Torres said that they are keen on extending the partnership, bound to end on 6 February 2019.
“May planong i-extend. We will deal with your marketing team and ours to look at other offers,” Torres said, addressing the reporters and Pag-IBIG officials present.
Senior Vice President for the Human Capital Group Chona L. Torre and Pag-IBIG Fund’s Deputy Chief Officer Alexander Aguilar also joined in the ceremonial signing.
