Tribune takes up new media dare

Marking its 22nd year recently, the Daily Tribune plans to further scale up to respond to the challenge of the swift changes in a digital world while keeping the flames of journalism alive.

Proven during the pandemic era is that those behind the Daily Tribune will not stop in delivering news and information to Filipinos no matter the odds.

The uncertainties and requirements brought about by the prevailing Covid-19 pandemic and other natural calamities have even resulted to making the broadsheet more resilient while establishing its presence in the industry along its “Without fear, Without favor” motto.

Dinah Sabal Ventura, the paper’s managing editor, said the continuing health crisis has even made Daily Tribune’s people more persistent and courageous to do their tasks — providing its client with fresh news and relevant information.

“The limitations caused by the pandemic were a challenge, but we were determined not just to continue delivering information, news and views, but to grow. And we did! “ Ventura said.

Rise of Omnimedia

Evidently, the hard work of reporters and editors is paying off as the Daily Tribune is growing fast as an “Omnimedia” company, with its strong presence on the social media landscape, with an aim of effectively disseminating relevant and objective news.

“We, at Daily Tribune, are strongly committed to providing information that enlightens and uplifts. We grew in the past two and half years at a time when others were keeping the status quo or even downsizing,” Ventura said.

The smooth and efficient news management has also contributed to the Daily Tribune’s pool of achievements, such as being recognized as the Most Innovative Broadsheet for 2018 during the 44th Philippine Business Exposition.

To keep its reputation, the people behind Daily Tribune vowed to become more hard-working, determined, and optimistic to provide better service to its readers.

“One thing about the Tribune family, we stuck together through the most uncertain parts of the pandemic. Everyone worked hard, adjusted to the new circumstances, and never gave up!” Ventura said.

“We, at Daily Tribune, are strongly committed to providing information that enlightens and uplifts. We grew in the past two and half years at a time when others were keeping the status quo or even downsizing,” she added.

Ventura said readers can expect more from the Daily Tribune as it sets to push better innovations and revitalization on news dissemination, which will surely benefit a wider audience.

“We have more in the pipeline, so watch out for it! Daily Tribune turned into an Omnimedia company over the last couple of years and it will continue to blaze the trail in the industry,” she said.
