DYNAMITE! BTS variety show ‘Run BTS’ is back

After a 10-month break, the South Korean variety show “Run BTS”, starring the K-pop boy group and global phenomenon BTS, is set to return by 16 August, the Korea Herald has reported.

“’Run BTS’ is a South Korean web-based series starring the septet, which first began in August 2015 and has since released 156 episodes. The show announced a break after airing the last episode in October 2021,” according to the Korea Herald. “The weekly show will become available on Weverse, a K-pop fan community platform, Naver’s V Live and YouTube.”

“Please look forward to the release, because the show would be more fun after being recharged,” said BTS in a teaser video released on Monday.

In June this year, the band announced that, after nearly a decade of performing together, its seven members will focus on individual projects but will not take a hiatus as earlier reported. “They are not on hiatus but will take time to explore some solo projects,” said representatives of the group as quoted in an Insider report. BTS member J-Hope made history last week when he became the first South Korean performer to headline the Chicago musical festival Lollapalooza.
