LLANERA, Nueva Ecija — Police are investigating the discovery of a dead individual in an irrigation canal at the town of Sta. Barbara here on Saturday night.
The individual — identified as Paquito de Guzman — was said to be a businessman from Barangay San Vicente in the town of Laur and currently residing in Iba town in Zambales.
Acording to the Llanera Police, the victim has a bullet wound on his head as his body was found naked floating in the canal.
The victim’s vehicle, a Nissan Navarra Calibre pick up with plate number NCM 2814, was found abandoned 63 kilometers away in Sta. Maria town in Pangasinan.
Pangasinan Provincial Police Office reported that the victim’s vehicle has blood everywhere, containing scattered documents, and an empty bag.
