The man who jumped Thursday from the departure level of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 has died, the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) confirmed yesterday.
The MIAA said the 26-year-old man who landed at the NAIA 1 arrival area succumbed to his severe head injuries at the Pasay General Hospital.
A witness told airport police that she saw the man walking back and forth at the upper level of the airport before he climbed the ledge and jumped.
A review of the closed circuit television camera system at the airport corroborated the statement of the witness ruling out foul play in the incident.
