Various anti-illegal drug operations within the jurisdiction of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) last March and July have resulted in the seizure of P1,288,501,866 worth of narcotics.
NCRPO data showed that for the two-month period, the various police districts in Metro Manila conducted a total of 5,148 drug ops that led to the arrest of 9,443 individuals.
A total of 188,179 grams of shabu with a street value of P1,279,623,258 were confiscated, along with 72,629 grams of marijuana worth P8,715,547, ecstasy worth P13,600, and 28.20 grams of cocaine that could fetch P149,460.
Heightened efforts to bring fugitives before the bar of justice have also resulted in 1,878 most wanted persons and 4,054 wanted persons being arrested.
NCRPO anti-gambling operations for the same period totaled 2,917, resulting in 8,790 people being arrested and P1,921,007 in bets confiscated.
Loose firearms numbering 567, along with 32 explosives, were seized from 513 operations to enforce the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunitions Law. From those operations, 532 individuals were arrested.
The NCRPO has supervision over the Manila Police District, Quezon City Police District, Southern Police District, Northern Police District and the Eastern Police District.
