Sen. Bong Go delivered aid to 1,500 residents of Barangays Leon Garcia, Centro, and San Antonio in Agdao District, Davao City.
Go’s team on 4 August went to the respective barangays’ gymnasiums and handed out meals to the residents.
The team also gave bicycles, shoes, cellular phones, volleyballs and basketballs to select individuals.
Meanwhile, the Social Welfare Department extended support through its Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation program.
In a video message, Go reminded his fellow Davaoeños to remain disciplined and vigilant and follow health and safety protocols as the fight against Covid-19 continues.
The senator then appealed to community leaders to assist the elderly and inoculate them in their own homes, if possible, especially since they are known to be more vulnerable to the virus.
Go encouraged the residents with medical concerns to seek the services of the Malasakit Center at Southern Philippines Medical Center.
