Filipino actor, model and singer Lovi Poe announced in her 5 August Instagram post the launch of her film production company called C’est Lovi Productions.
“It’s been a passion of mine to be in the business of making films in front of the camera for a number of years already, and as I continue to do that I’d like to be behind the camera too and develop projects from the beginning,” she shared.
According to Poe, sharing Filipino stories and artists in the international scene will be the production company’s special focus. She disclosed that there are projects already on their way to an international audience.
“I want to join forces with people who share the same passion and make films that would help the world recognize Filipino talent either behind or in front of the camera,” the actress added.
Honoring her father, the late King of Philippine Movies Fernando Poe Jr. (FPJ), she said that it has been her passion to be in the business of making films and hopes to continue FPJ’s legacy.
Despite venturing into film productions, Poe said she will still pursue onscreen jobs.
The actress is starring in the Filipino adaptation of Korean drama Flower of Evil. She also stars alongside Janine Gutierrez in the
romantic-comedy drama series, Sleep With Me which will stream on 15 August.
