TNT Tropang Giga takes a commanding 3-1 series lead

TNT Tropang Giga inched closer to the championship round after a lopsided 102-84 win in Game 4 of the PBA Philippine Cup semifinals Wednesday, 10 August at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The Tropang Giga relied on a strong second-half surge to claim a commanding 3-1 lead and possible final entry in Game 5 on Friday.

Poy Erram once again shone with 19 points and 13 rebounds, while Roger Pogoy dropped 15 of his 18 points in the first half.

Mikey Williams finished with 15 points and seven assists despite a 5-of-13 shooting and Troy Rosario churned out 15 markers and eight boards.

After a tight 42-38 lead at the half, the misfiring Williams began to take over in the fourth and uncorked 12 markers before Erram stretched the lead to their biggest at 23, 95-72, as they never looked back with 4:49 remaining.

Ian Sangalang had 19 points and three rebounds as the Hotshots are now in a dangerous 1-3 hole.
