A good piece of jewelry is a statement piece in itself, often the dazzling finish to a person’s whole look.
These pieces are the perfect cherry on top whether they are worn for an extravagant occasion or paired with a simple outfit.
Several brands recently unveiled their latest collections of precious gems.
While each brand has its own story to tell, they all establish one thing — the talent and prowess of our local artisans and jewelers.
Kathy and Kathy Bespoke’s ‘Ora Pro Nobis’
Filipino talent and artistry are the foundations of jewelry brand Kathy & Kathy Bespoke. Its owners Kathy Gregorio-Añover and Kathy Sarabia-Babst created the brand in 2014.
Their latest collection Ora Pro Nobis, made of Sardonyx Shell Cameos, depicts popular religious images and works of art.
During the launch last 9 July, they shared that Ora Pro Nobis marries two continents — Europe and Asia — as each piece is created by Italian master carvers and Filipino goldsmiths.
“The small batch collection, all in original settings, are inspired by the facades and images of the Catholic faith. We wanted to convey this into original designs. Only a piece is a true work of art that values more quality than quantity,” Gregorio-Añover said.
Shop Ora Pro Nobis as well as their other collections at kathyandkathybespoke.com or visit their showroom at Metrostar Building Metropolitan Avenue, Makati City.
Tessera and its new lady
Tessera is a homegrown brand run by Carl Feder with his wife, also the co-founder, Papat Fider.
They boast of a wide array of internationally-certified diamonds and diamond jewelry; the biggest in the Philippine market, according to Papat.
At its event last 26 July, the co-founder recalled how they did not think of getting an endorser for their brand when they established it 10 years ago.
With their goal of continuous expansion and development, they introduced Sarah Lahbati as the brand’s first Tessera Lady.
Aptly enough, Sarah’s first self-bought diamond jewelry, a tennis bracelet, was from Tessera.
Take a closer look at its pieces by visiting Tessera at 38 Rockwell, 38 Rockwell Drive, Makati City or at The Arton Strip, Katipunan Avenue corner Highland Drive, Quezon City.

Meycauayan Jewelries’ goddesses
Meycauayan Jewelries revealed its collection of high-quality diamond engagement rings and wedding bands.
Named Goddess Tala Collection (bridal set) and Goddess Mayari Collection (wedding band set), available in 14karat and 18karat gold, the pieces are inspired by Philippine mythology.
Similar to Kathy & Kathy Bespoke, the Bulacan-based fine jewelry brand spotlights the craftsmanship of its master plateros (goldsmiths) and mananaras (stone setters).
Visit its showroom at #511 Sampaguita St. Manzano Subdivision, Ibayo, Marilao Bulacan or at Unit 828 Vinia Residences + Versa Flats in Quezon City.
