Police arrested two suspects who consider themselves best friends during a buy-bust operation in Valenzuela City, Wednesday night.
Valenzuela City Police chief PCol. Salvador Destura, identified the suspects as Jimmy Ramos, 42, construction worker and Erwin Saliente, 31, both residents of S. Feliciano Street, Barangay Ugong.
It was around 10:15 p.m. when personnel of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of the Valenzuela City Police initiated the operation led by P/Lt. Doddie Aguirre at a house on S. Feliciano Street.
A policeman pretending to be a buyer was able to buy shabu from the two resulting in their arrest.
Recovered from them were three heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu with approximately 10 grams and an estimated standard drug price of P68,000 pesos, buy-bust money, P900 cash, coin purse, Oppo and Vivo cellphones.
The suspects will be charged with violation of Article II of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.
