Press Secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles said late Wednesday that she has gotten a marching order from the President to streamline her office.
“The plans, really, are first: To streamline. This is a directive of the President and as we said, we’re turning it into a lean, mean machine. We’ll churn out the information necessary for public dissemination,” she said.
“The benchmark, of course, is how quickly we respond and how efficient we are at getting necessary information out,” she added.
Despite a limited budget, the OPS, she said, measures public reactions to determine which channels the public can receive information from efficiently.
Angeles said as the President has imposed a “single messaging policy,” her office is coordinating closely with other departments and agencies so as to not confuse the public with different takes on government’s activities.
