Operatives of the Novaliches Police Station 4 scored big in the campaign against illegal drugs when their buy-bust operation Friday morning resulted in the seizure of P10,200,000 worth of suspected shabu.
Jayson Espinar, 38, a resident of Barangay San Bartolome, Quezon City, was arrested in the drug sting, P/Lt. Col. Von June Nuyda said in a report.
The operation was undertaken by the undercover cops at around 2 a.m. along Carlos Street in Barangay San Bartolome following a tip from an informant about Espinar’s alleged selling of drugs in the area.
A cop posed as a buyer of a small amount of shabu, but the police team was surprised to discover that the suspect had 1.5 kilos of suspected crystal meth in his possession.
A digital weighing scale, the buy-bust money and the cellphone used in the transaction were retrieved from Espinar.
