GTCAP posts double-digit Q2 earnings

The Ty family-led conglomerate GT Capital Holdings reported a double-digit jump in its second-quarter bottomline.

The primary growth driver in the quarter was its improving asset quality of Metrobank and the sustained market leadership of Toyota Motors.

Regina Capital Development Corp. said Toyota, the auto unit of GTCAP, launched an affordable commercial vehicle, the Lite Ace.

The move was in response to the increase in commercial vehicle sales as the local economy recovers.

Meanwhile, GTCAP management added that Federal Land will have two product launches before the yearend.
