‘Barangay Booklatan 2022’ held in Navotas

The city government of Navotas has started the “Barangay Booklatan 2022” this Thursday participated in by young student of the city.

Barangay Booklatan, is a program of the Navotas City Library in partnership with the Public Information Office and with the full support of Mayor John Rey Tiangco.

“The purpose of this is to get closer and encourage our young people to read again and listen to our stories being presented that bring knowledge or learning,” according to the mayor.

“I sincerely thanked all those who participated in our meaningful program for Navoteño children,” the mayor added.

According to him, now that the opening of the schools are approaching again, the program is one of the ways to convey to every barangay that there is an open library to be a place of study and research for the students of the city.

Meanwhile, 492 tricycle and 286 pedicab drivers who are registered members of TODAs and PODAs in the city received P3,000 in financial assistance under the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation program with the persistence of the office of Cong. Toby Tiangco at the Department of Social Welfare and Development ​​NCR.
