Cebu Pacific ramps up international flight network

Cebu Pacific announced on Friday it would continue to boost its international network as it adds flights to some of its top ASEAN destinations, namely Bangkok and Bali.

The budget carrier has been adding domestic and international flights on the back of a sustained recovery in the travel industry, with a steady increase in passenger traffic.

“It is exciting and encouraging to see more Filipinos traveling confidently in and out of the Philippines,” said CEB Commercial Officer Chief Xander Lao. “That is why we make sure that we consistently provide convenient and affordable flight options to enable everyone to travel more for less.”

Starting on 29 August 2022, CEB will operate daily flights between Manila and Bangkok, up from its current frequency of five times per week. By September, CEB will begin operating five times per week between Manila and Bali.

By 1 September, CEB plans to resume twice-weekly service between Manila and Brunei.

Lao said they are happy to keep growing their international network as they see increasing travel demand abroad and more destinations ease restrictions.

He added that fully vaccinated Filipinos flying to these three destinations must only present their proof of complete vaccination. Thailand and Indonesia have already eased their restrictions to allow tourists to enter quickly.

Apart from this, the airline intends to increase its flights from Cebu to Seoul from twice weekly to daily by 9 September. On 23 September, flights to Nagoya from Manila will be daily from their current five times weekly.

Lao also said that by 1 October, CEB’s Bali flights would increase to a daily service, while its flights to Hanoi and Taipei from Manila will have one additional week, from thrice to four times a week for Hanoi, and twice to thrice weekly for Taipei.

Filipinos returning home no longer need to undergo a COVID-19 test before leaving. Passengers can get the most recent updates and comprehensive travel instructions to their destination on the CEB Travel Reminders page.

To promote travel throughout its largest domestic network in the Philippines, CEB continues to offer its guaranteed low fares. The airline continues to employ a multi-layered approach to safety to ensure that every passenger can fly on Cebu Pacific safely and conveniently. Additionally, it employs a 100 percent fully immunized crew, 95 percent of whom have received booster shots.
