Just for you

Weekends are incomplete without spontaneous trips and galore near the Metro. In case you want to take a couple of hours for “me” time or weekend day with friends and family, here are some events you might want to try and visit.

Pawchella Pawssion Project, a non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming of rescued animals, invites everyone this coming Saturday, 20 August, 2 p.m. — 5 p.m. at Bonifacio Global City as they celebrate the efforts of the organization along with its volunteers in supporting homeless cats and dogs around the country. Along with them are free performances by Sud, Orange and Lemons, Bini, and more.

Ang Katotohanan sa mga Marcos at Martial Law

In response to the ongoing issues on historical distortions, disinformation and misinformation, Altermidya, an independent media outfit, mounts a whole day devoted to screening free films at Bantayog ng mga Bayani this coming Sunday, 21 August.

With the diverse culture of the Philippines, we are not new to diverse films. Save the date and start checking out the nearest Cinematiques this weekend because they offer the stories in the big-screens about the local folks of Mindanao from the award-winning directors Brilliante Mendoza, National Artist for Film Kidlat Tahimik, and local filmmaker, Arbi Barbarona.
