Indigents from Bohol towns receive aid from Bong Go

A two-day relief effort was mounted by the team of Sen. Bong Go for more than a thousand indigent residents from Tagbilaran City and the towns of Loboc and Danao, Bohol on 18 to 19 August.

Held at the Tagbilaran City Hall, Loboc New Public Market, and Danao Municipal Hall, Go’s staff distributed masks and snacks to a total of 2,342 Boholanos. They also provided shoes, phablets, and bicycles to select individuals.

Head of the Senate Committee on Health and Demography, Go also renewed his appeal to intensify the pandemic efforts and continuously roll out vaccines to more far-flung communities to ensure that more Filipinos are inoculated and protected against COVID-19.

He then encouraged those eligible yet unvaccinated Boholanos to get their jabs, underscoring how it would significantly help the country recover and return to normalcy faster.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development also provided financial assistance while the Department of Trade and Industry committed to giving livelihood support to qualified beneficiaries in the said Bohol towns.
