Having just recovered from Covid-19, Muntinlupa City Mayor Ruffy Biazon on Monday urged his constituents to get their booster shots to add another level of protection against the virus.
Biazon returned to city hall after getting the clearance to return for work Sunday from the local government unit’s health officials.
Biazon isolated himself for a week. “It’s good to be back,” he said as he buckled down to work, adding his booster shot eased the Covid-19 symptoms he experienced.
“Take it from me. I am thankful that I got a booster shot because the effects of Covid-19 to me were just mild,” he said. The mayor said he had a cough and cold, sore throat and body aches for three days.
He advised the public to also follow minimum health protocols to minimize the spread of Covid-19.
The Muntinlupa city health office recorded 53 new Covid-19 cases, 45 recoveries, and one death to bring the total active cases to 161 out of 42,571 confirmed cases, 41,783 recoveries, and 627 deaths since 2020.
