Miguel Tanfelix and Ysabel Ortega plan to continue studies

Miguel Tanfelix and Ysabel Ortega are keen on continuing their studies despite being busy artists.

“I’m curious what my life would be like if I continued studying and I didn’t pursue acting. And honestly, I still crave college life because I never experience it that much. I plan to continue my studies in the future,” said Tanfelix to Daily Tribune in a media presser.

Ortega expressed her gratitude for the opportunities she received. However, “I have passions that I want to pursue like law school or starting a business.”

“I’m young and a lot of things can still happen. If I become passionate about something, I have the control to do so,” she added.

Tanfelix and Ortega, alongside Yasser Marta, star in GMA’s latest teleserye What We Could Be in partnership with Quantum Films. The actors play Franco, Cynthia, and Lucas, respectively.

What We Could Be follows the trio as they navigate life — finding love, overcoming struggles, and working for their dreams. Its theme song of the same title is sung by The Voice season 9 alum Amy Vachal. Quantum Films chief operating officer Atty. Joji Alonso spearheaded this collaboration.

Asked how it came about, she told Daily Tribune: “When I thought of this song, I wanted something for a theme that is the same as the title (of the series). I was looking for a female singer and I just thought that her voice would be perfect to render this particular composition.”

The series is helmed by director Jeffrey Jeturian and will air starting tonight, 29 August, at 8:50 p.m. The series airs weeknights and every Monday to Thursday at 11:30 and every Friday at 11 p.m. on GTV.
