At least 22 persons deprived of liberty have been released from the San Ramon Prison and Penal Farm in Zamboanga City, according to the Bureau of Corrections’ External Affairs Section.
Eight of the 22 PDLs were released upon the expiration of maximum sentence, while 14 were given parole.
Staff of the EAS distributed to the PDLs Certificate of Discharge, Copy of Order of Release, grooming kit, and referral letter addressed to the local government units and other private establishment for employment, and transportation expenses.
Facilities under BuCor are the Iwahig Prison and Penal Farm in Palawan, San Ramon Prison and Penal Farm in Zamboanga City, Correctional Institution for Women in Mandaluyong City, Sablayan Prison and Penal Farm in Oriental Mindoro and the New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa.
It also includes the Davao Prison and Penal Farm in Davao del Norte and Leyte Regional Prison in Southern Leyte.
