The Navotas City Agriculture Office distributed a fuel subsidy from the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) for Navoteños who own boats.
About 150 Navoteños received a fuel subsidy worth P3,000 which they can avail at selected gasoline stations.
They also received nets and fishing gears to registered boat owners.

The fuel subsidy distribution started at 8:00 am until 12:00 noon at the 4th floor Fishing Hall of Navotas City Hall.

Meanwhile, the fishermen are very grateful for the fuel subsidy they received and said it will help them a lot.
“This is a big for us, because no matter how much the discount we get, we can always use it for our children’s school, and for food we will served for our family,” said Tatay Arnulfo Cruz.
Mayor John Rey Tiangco on the other hand, reminds fishermen who already received the fuel subsidy to please follow the guidelines for using the discount card to avoid any malfunction or disqualification from the program.
