More than P130,000 worth of illegal drugs were seized from two suspects in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City Monday night, the police reported yesterday.
Nabbed at about 9:30 p.m. were Khalil Banto, alias Pitot, 22, a resident of Barangay Pinagbuhatan listed in the city’s drug watchlist; and Alvin Vargas, 36, tricycle driver, of Barangay Kalawaan.
They yielded six sachets of suspected shabu weighing about 20 grams and worth P136,000. Recovered from them was the marked P1,000 buy-bust money.
Banto and Vargas were detained at the Pasig City police custodial facility to face drug-pushing charges under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
