Neighborhood wine shop opens in Poblacion

If you haven’t noticed yet, the opening of a good number of wine places in Metro Manila has uncorked a new social space.

These spots vary from bistro to fine dining to pure aficionado destinations, offering wine lovers different experiences with the beverage.

Along with the reopening of these places is the introduction of new concepts that will take the wine and dine crowd to new levels of experiences.

The latest one is Project Vino along Kalayaan in Poblacion, Makati City.

Tagged as “your neighborhood wine shop,” Project Vino offers a casual place for everyone, from wine beginner to connoisseur. Starting out as an online store, Project Vino now offers a place to sip and savor a wide variety of wines and food to go with them.

Shelves upon shelves of wine bottles from all parts of the world are the main feature in this place, with wait staff who are knowledgeable about the wines but are not intimidating.

Project Vino was established by wine enthusiasts Steven Ticzon and Rob Martin. “At Project Vino, we believe that wine should not be limiting. Wine is encompassing.

“It’s not just for the experienced wine drinkers, nor just for special occasions. There is a type of wine for every single moment.

“For us, wine is all a multi-layer experience, the more wine you drink, the more layers of experience you unravel. The more experience you have, the higher the
appreciation on the depth of wine.”

Soon, Project Vino will offer wine pairing sessions — something to watch for.

Available 24/7 online at www.projectvino.ph with same-day delivery or visit the Wine Store at #8485 Kalayaan Ave in Poblacion (Sunday, Tuesday, and Wednesday l, 2 to 10 p.m.; Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, 3 p.m. to 12 a.m.).
