Leaders’ summit pushes for national youth agenda

“Layag: Setting Sail as a Young Leader,” Youth Leadership for Democracy’s summit for 2022, will see young leaders venture into impactful engagements with young stakeholders and other sectors.

The two-day conference, happening on 8 to 9 October, centers on discussions on the role of the youth as future changemakers, youth-led movements in Philippine history (Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao), and strengthening of the youth’s participation in democratic governance.

#Layag2022 further aims to develop the National Youth Agenda into actionable local solutions, showcase effective strategies and best practices of successful youth-led movements, and strengthen alliances among youth networks all over the country.

Youth Leadership for Democracy (YouthLed) is a youth-focused program in the Philippines implemented by The Asia Foundation in partnership with the United States Agency for International Development. It first launched the summit in 2021.
