Bong Go aids micro entrepreneurs from various towns in Romblon

Sen. Bong Go aided struggling residents in the towns of Romblon, Looc, Alcantara, and Sta. Maria in Romblon province from 26 to 27 September.

In his video message, Go reiterated the significance of micro, small and medium enterprises in the financial stability of the country. He noted that they do not require huge capital yet they provide numerous livelihood opportunities for many struggling Filipinos.

During the activity, the senator’s outreach team distributed snacks and masks to a total of 400 residents at the Alcantara covered court, Santa Maria municipal hall, Looc gymnasium and Romblon public plaza. They also provided computer tablets and new pairs of shoes to select individuals.

The activities were conducted in batches to ensure that health protocols against COVID-19 were strictly observed.

As part of the government’s efforts to mitigate the impacts of the global health crisis on vulnerable sectors, staff from the Department of Social Welfare and Development also distributed livelihood assistance grants to the residents.
