ABS-CBN employees shine with Silver, Gold Quill Awards

ABS-CBN employees brought pride to the company’s nationwide songwriting contest, “Kapamilya Himig Handog,” which bagged the 2022 Silver Quill Awards handed by the International Association of Business Communicators for Asia Pacific.

The project was cited for enabling Kapamilya staff to shine with their own songs.

Its grand finals were held at the ABS-CBN Dolphy Theater in early 2020 before the pandemic.

Significantly, the Silver Quill victory completes a three-peat in IABC’s international, regional, and local awards programs. “Himig Handog” previously bagged a Gold Quill from IABC in New York and a Philippine Quill from IABC Philippines.

It also earned global recognition through an international Gold Quill from the International Association of Business Communicators at the Excellence Gala Night in New York last June.

Another ABS-CBN internal communication campaign, “Act as If You Have the Virus,” won an international Gold Quill from IABC. It was commended for its creative use of arresting imagery and persuasive language to remind employees about the significance of health and safety protocols in the workplace.
